Refined for our third round of production, the Basilisk is our waterproof/breathable enduro-touring kit, for long-distance, multi-day trips through primarily off-road terrain. It combines super-premium materials with clean lines and minimalist design. With an articulated fit for freedom of motion and easy layering, the Basilisk is designed to work with separate armor systems for superior protection and versatility. It packs smaller than a traditional ADV jacket, for stashing on your bike when things get hot.
The Basilisk is incredibly waterproof and incredibly breathable. The body fabric is a highly abrasion-resistant eVent Expedition 3-layer, using eVent's proprietary direct venting technology. It's waterproof to 30,000mm on the water column (100 feet of water pressure), with an MVTR of 10,000 g/m/d, .06cfm air permeability, and DWR. It's the only waterproof moto jacket on the market that also has air permeability, plus it has the highest waterproof ratings of any moto jacket we've ever seen.
In high abrasion areas like the shoulders, back, and elbows, we added SuperFabric ceramic platelets on a 600D waterproof/breathable base, sewn as an overlay on the main body eVent for added strength. With double-layer fabric, you can crash repeatedly and still stay dry. Our zippers are top-of-the-line water repellent YKK Vislon Aquaguard: they won't clog with dust and grime, and they're easy to operate one-handed with gloves.
The Basilisk jacket is our full-throated endorsement of separate body armor for extended enduro-touring trips, where integrated armor is a pain. If you've never used separate body armor, here are the reasons we love it:
Temperature Management: Riding hard in a hot climate with separate armor, you can remove your jacket without losing your protection. On a hot day riding offroad in the desert, taking your jacket off is a game-changer.
Impact Protection: Separate armor has better coverage, and holds the pads closer to your body, so they're exactly where they need to be in a crash. Armor pads suspended loosely in the hanging liner of a motorcycle jacket are insufficient for riding off-road.
The jacket that accomplishes its mission with the least features, is best. That's the Basilisk. It's light, nimble, and breathable, with the basic pockets and vents you need and nothing else. We eliminated hanging liners entirely, reducing weight, bulk, and heat. There are two external and two internal pockets, with six substantial vents placed strategically for maximum airflow.

This jacket is made to take the hits from weather and terrain!! It will not only still perform as designed but look nice doing it!! Fits great! Mosko added space where its needed for armor but not where you need it to fit well.
I recently bought a Basilisk jacket after trying one on at the Overland Expo West booth. The qualities that caught my attention were the waterproofing and the idea that Mosko does not integrate the armor into the jacket. I’m directly comparing this jacket to my other jacket, the new Klim Badlands Pro A3. The A3 is an amazing jacket, but there are times when I want the 100% waterproofing in a jacket that weighs less than half the weight. It’s easier to layer under the Basilisk and for that reason it’s the one I ride with most. It can hang at 100° or 50° with layers underneath. The stitching and zippers appear to be well done. I have no complaints so far after about 1,500 miles.
I just love the Basilisk clothes!
Also have a Klim Badlands Pro which think it’s too hot, heavy and don’t know what to do with , once it’s over.
Basilisk answer all of this problem with class and beauty. Took a hard rain for 1h during my test ride. 100% waterproof
Fast shipping from EU-stock NL to Germany.
I've ordered two sizes for choice - no problems with return & refund.
Great details, quality & fit. Minor item: the small structures of gecko-logo at shoulder-blade starts to peel off.
I'm a long time adventure bike rider and have used gear from all of the popular manufacturers over the years. I can state without hesitation that the Mosko Moto Basilik jacket and pants are the highest quality and best fitting riding gear that I've ever had. I recently ran the Idaho and Colorado BDRs and encountered a variety of conditions and weather and the Basilik outfit performed flawlessly. The rain protection was excellent as was the ventilation when it turned hot. I've always used Mosko's luggage solutions due to their innovative design and durability and I'm now a very satisfied customer of their clothing line.
