The Rak Pullover is another exercise in our “less is more” approach to ADV. Our thinking remains that the jacket that accomplishes its mission with the least features, is best. Less to break, less to go wrong, fewer places for water to get in, and therefore more functional. The result is a lighter, nimbler, and more breathable shell with a clean, minimalist silhouette.
The Rak – which comes from ‘Anorak’ - is the ultimate in simplicity. It keeps you dry in all-day driving rain, it packs away small when it’s not in use, and it’s built to last.
We wanted a light, durable, waterproof 3-layer outer shell that’s ‘too simple to fail.’ We wanted it to be just as waterproof in the third year of an RTW trip as it was on day one. This quest led us to offshore sailing, ocean paddling, and mountaineering jackets, and then eventually to anoraks, which offer the ultimate in water and wind resistance. On a bike – especially an enduro without a windscreen – we take all the wind and water straight to the face. When you’re riding into a firehose, every ridge, wrinkle, zipper, pocket, and seam is a source of weakness. We stripped away as many of those as possible in the Rak, while still preserving the core functionality we need both on and off the bike (like hand pockets, for example).
The Rak features a pullover anorak-style entry with quarter zip design, two hand pockets, one chest pocket, adjustable Velcro cuffs, and Cohaesive® embedded cord-locks at the hem and collar to help seal out the weather. The 3L eVent waterproof breathable material keeps you dry and comfortable with Direct Venting™ technology. For the ultimate in airflow and venting, take off the Rak, roll it up, and stash it on the back of the bike. It packs tiny, and features a lashing loop on the upper back so you can strap it directly to your bike or luggage when it’s not in use.

I have to admit, when I first opened the package, I was unsure if the Rak Pullover was going to work for my needs. Nonetheless I rolled it up and tucked it into my bag for our traditional New Years Day ride. And if you know the northeast, you know the weather is as schizophrenic as it gets.
We set off on our ride and I reluctantly had to give one of my layers to my girlfriend because she was cold and unprepared for the weather, which was misty with rain in the forecast.
Just then it started to rain so I grabbed the Rak out of the pack and thought about how much of a pain in the ass it is to put on a pullover when you are geared up.
That's when I realized the genius of this jacket. The rear zipper opens the jacket up to make it super easy to put on. The sleeve openings, which seemed extremely oversized at first glance, worked perfectly for getting my arms through without taking off my gloves. Along with the front zip down, this thing slipped right on, and that's when this thing really shined.
Besides the really well designed zips, the jacket itself is built tough but stays pliable and move with you very well. It kept out all the rain and kept the wind off my chest and arms, leading to me actually being warm and comfortable.
You can really tell that this, along with all the Mosko gear, was designed by offroad riders that like to dual sport and adventure ride. It's not designed by adventure riders and touring riders that want to sell to the offroad market, which leads to bulky, stiff and extremely hot gear. This is perfect for me and the type of riding I prefer.
Nice work Mosko, you nailed it, like usual!
I recently got a pair of the Woodsman Enduro OTB pants. A RAK jacket, and a Strata Merino Quarter Zip Thermal Top. Everything is so comfortable, fits me perfectly, and is super high quality. It's great gear on, and off the bike. Light weight, and protective. I'm 6'4" 260 pounds so I'm not an easy fit, but Mosko gears does the trick.
Quality and look is convincing, Size XL fits perfect for me with 1.94m/78kg wearing a protector jacket (Ortema) underneath.
Feel like s quality product. I”m 178/78 and ordered size M, fitment just ok to accommodate protection underneath, may be an inch longer then I need but not critical.
