These two-piece straps quickly connect to the bike using lanyard loops, and they also have adjustable-length tails, so they'll work on everything from a large high capacity duffle to a small pannier topper. They include strap keepers, so your excess strap lengths won't flap around in the wind, and the cam buckle has a webbing backing to prevent damage to the bag/bike.
We designed these straps to function as an emergency tow strap if you have a breakdown (put the rear duffle on your back, worn as a backpack, and use the straps to tow) or an emergency tie-down system if you have to load your bike in the back of someone's truck in a pinch. Check out the product video to see how it works.
Please keep in mind that the towing/tie-down feature is meant for emergency use only. These straps should not be considered your primary tow & tie-down solution. The weakest point in the system is the aluminum ladder-lock buckle, therefore, when towing heavy bikes through rough terrain, do not use the part of the strap with the ladder-lock and cam buckle on it. Instead, combine the two webbing-only parts of the straps to make a single longer tow strap. Same principle when using them as emergency tie-downs: for best results, do not crank them as tight as you would a standard motorcycle tie-down.
Works just as it says on the tin.
I received the bag and found that the side opening buckles are not functional as the buckles keep loosening. Yes they are fitted properly.I have since given the bag away (F.O.C.) to a college student. I'M going to purchase an alternative bag from another manufacturer. I will never again buy an expensive product On-Line again.
