Here in the Pacific Northwet, we take waterproofing seriously. The Hood is the only waterproof, quick-access tank bag on the market. There are no zippers to jam (and eventually fail), no roll-tops to unfurl. Just unclip the buckle, flip the lid, and you’re in. It’s the easiest-access waterproof tank bag we’ve ever used. It includes two handy internal organizers for little things, like charging cables and earplugs.
For 2020, we refreshed the proven design of the Hood with a sleek Hypalon MOLLE panel, upgraded interior materials, and the gray color option - which goes great with our Navigator Cell Phone Pocket.
We spent two+ years developing the Hood, testing every type of waterproof closure we could find. We needed something simple and strong enough for a tank bag, that will continue working even after thousands of uses in dusty, abusive conditions. We even spent 6 months experimenting with kayak hatches. The hatches turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole, but they gave us the idea for the Hood.
The Hood achieves it’s waterproofing through a welded-seam, waterproof clamshell lid (we call it a ‘hood’) that rests on an equally waterproof, welded-seam base. The hood pushes against a strip of piping that runs 360 degrees around the base. There’s a rain gutter just below the piping that stops any water that tries to work its way up the sides. We even tested it with a pressure washer at the car wash, and everything inside stayed bone-dry!
The inside of the Hood features a large, open main compartment, with two removable sewn-seam wallets for things like cables, headphones, batteries, and credit cards. There’s a charging cable and headphone pass-through port, so you can connect your phone and electronic accessories directly to the battery.
On the top of the Hood you’ll find plenty of MOLLE webbing, which fits the included MOLLE compatible waterproof map pocket. If you don’t need the map pocket, the MOLLE webbing also works great for a cell phone case, multi tool, or first aid kit instead.

Hood Tank Bag (V1.2)
Love the new tank bag! Perfect size so I don’t have room to stuff more shit than I need in it. One thing though, didn’t even get a Mosko Moto sticker for my bike in my order 😔
This is my first ever tank bag. I wasn't sure that I was a tank bag person. First, I'm a small female rider and I was worried that it would be too prominent, but I had an upcoming trip and decided to give it a try. Dude, this tank bag rocks! It does not impede your riding in any way and traveling now especially in the time of COVID this thing was so helpful. (For reference I have a Triumph Tiger) I could keep disposable masks, my sunglasses, snacks, camera, and other things in here. Whoever designed the built in wallet should win the nobel prize! I used it as my main wallet my whole trip and it held my cash, ID's, national park passes and campground receipts. Also, I hit a super powerful thunderstorm in Virginia and put my phone in the Hood tank bag. Everything stayed dry while still being able to charge. Plus, when I was in a hotel for the night it was super easy to pull off the bike and bring in with me. I watched your video on YouTube where another lady rider was walking through how to use it. That was super helpful..yay for ladies! My only complaint is that I'm sad that the season is winding down (I'm in Chicago) because I want more adventures with my Hood tank bag!
Bought this for a MABDR ride and this tank bag is the best tank bag I have ever used. It was easy to install and is easy to move to fill my gas tank.
Having been disappointed by so-called "waterproof" tankbags in the past, I had almost reserved myself to perpetual soggy tankbag items. That was until I happened across the Hood tankbag my Mosko Moto. Although a bit smaller in terms of volume than I was used to, I was intrigued by the promise of true waterproof-ness. Turns out the smaller was a blessing in disguise as it forces me to more organized and thoughtful about what I throw in the bag. So, double-bonus!
But, again, the main reason for the purchase was it's waterproof-ness, and the Hood delivers on that promise! I'm an MSF RiderCoach and had my RT parked on the riding range this past weekend. On Sunday, it rained pretty much all day. I usually dreaded this as by the time I would get to my bike at the end of class, all of the items in my tankbag would've been soaked. Not this time, everything was nice and toasty and dry!
Fitment is great with Mosko's bag harness and I didn't have to remove the harness for my other "waterproof" bag should I ever see the need to swap bags. But, at this point, I see no reason to do so as the Hood ticks all the boxes nicely. Well done, Mosko Moto!
