Latch Sak

Latch Type

Note: there are two different kind of latch saks. Our original V1.0 panniers with HDPE mounting frames use a rotary draw latch attached with screws, and no locking loop. The V2.0 panniers with injection-molded glass-filled nylon mounting frames use a rotary draw latch with a locking loop on it, and the latch is connected with bolts and inserts. Please be sure to order the correct replacement latch for your bags.

Sometimes you crash and break a latch.  Our latches and keepers are easy to replace. The Latch Sak includes everything you need.  In the meantime, those two little slots at the top of the bag frame below the latch are there so if you break a latch, you can run a zip tie through the bag frame to keep it attached for the rest of the trip.  The latch itself isn't load-bearing, it just keeps the bag from bouncing off the wedge in rough terrain.  A zip tie or piece of wire/string will get you home.

Latch is great , but dismayed that shipping cost was 3x cost of the latch

They are living up to Mosko's claims and THEN SOME

I have the Backcountry 35L complete with Molle Storage Pouches, 30L Duffle Bag and Tank bag on my KTM 1290 (And they used to be mounted on my BMW 1200) They have taken some pretty hard spills and have only received minor scuffs. Even the Molle pouches are holding strong! I did break one of the latches and it was quickly replaced for free with a simple email.
The tank bag is perfect for all of my valuables and the backpack feature is perfect for when I decide to walk about rather than ride. I get tons of compliments and questions whenever I am hanging out with my ADV brethren. Thanks Mosko for designing such excellent gear! ~Pat
