"I secretly bought a 12 years old, far too big and far too heavy but affordable Suzuki GSX 750EF as a “fait accompli” to my parents while they were on a weekend trip."
I grew up in a small village near Frankfurt in Germany. By the age of sixteen, I could get a license to ride 80cc bikes. Living in a rural area with almost no public transport, this was my source of freedom. I rode my bike all year long, rain or shine. Two years later, with a proper license in my hands, I secretly bought a 12 years old, far too big and far too heavy but affordable Suzuki GSX 750EF as a “fait accompli” to my parents while they were on a weekend trip.
Aside from my bike addiction, I love traveling. I spent 3 months in Australia as part of a student exchange program and went back there a couple of times with my backpack. After finishing my architecture studies, my job in the exhibition industry led me to lots of places throughout Europe, Asia, and the USA. I was an avid triathlon athlete and could not find enough time to ride my motorcycle. I spent my weekends on my road and mountain bikes, run along trails, or loved to swim in the open waters. With the Alps within reach were always a great getaway for a hike or simply enjoying the view from atop a mountain.
Three years back, I fell in love with a Harley Fatbob 2018 and I was back on two motorized wheels again. I traveled to Scotland without even losing a screw and rode it all across Europe. The love story came to an end when I made a test ride on a BMW 1250GS. I traded in the Harley and started venturing off road on the beemer. A new world opened up and I discovered how much I enjoy the combination of riding and traveling and going where road bikes simply can’t go.
I first came across Mosko Moto at the International Motorcycle Show in Munich, Germany. The enthusiastic Mosko team quickly converted me to soft luggage and an intro to moto wild camping was worked into the deal.
Being part of the Mosko team combines three of my passions: Riding, traveling, and working with people who have the same spirit. Hopefully, I'll see you somewhere down the trail.
