Pannier Rack - KTM

Style

You’ve all asked who makes the best pannier racks, and we finally have that answer for you. It’s Outback Motortek.

Their racks are beautifully engineered, super rugged, and installation is a breeze. Constructed of mild steel, they bend rather than crack during a crash. In the unlikely event that you do manage to break one, it’s easy to find a shop that can weld mild steel – no matter where in the world you go down.

Mosko’s Outback Motortek racks come finished in long-lasting black powder coat, and the best part is that they’re fully compatible with our Backcountry and Alpine panniers.

Panier Rack - Tier 900RP

Everything was quality, outback rack, 35l backcountry paniers, 40 liter duffle, gnat bar bag and fatty tool bag. Have mounted everything but to cold to ride much at this time. Fit is excellant.

Nice rack - more difficult to install on KTM 890 than instructions show

It's a nice rack. Lightweight and seems to be well-built. I may need to dump it a few times to assess how strong it is, given that it really is very lightweight.

Note that the installation video (which is by Outback Motortek, not MoskoMoto) makes the installation look easier than it really is. On the offset rack that goes over the tailpipe, there is no way to get both a wrench and the long screw into the designated hole without either removing the tailpipe or loosening it up enough to tuck it out of the way. It's not the simple "screw in three bolts and you're done" process portrayed in the video. They also leave out any mention of the included washers, so just remember to put them on each of the three bolts that hold each rack (not the crossbar) instead of slavishly following the instructions.
