a little too complicated

I've now had the tank backpack on my Honda CRF 300 for 24,000 km. First the positive: a nice look, good workmanship, easy to attach and it doesn't get in the way when driving stationary. What do I like less: it is not waterproof and putting the rain cover on is difficult. The system is too detailed, unnecessary many small compartments, not sufficiently accessible. The optional map pocket for European maps is too small. I see the Gnome tank bag with the rather small drinking bag more on shorter trips than on long enduro tours.

Gnome tank bag

Works great no more backpack, for the winter the 1.5l is okay. Just have to have an other way for storage for a jacket but for small items it's very convenient and right in front of you.

Gnome Tank Bag on Himalayan 411.

I am happy with the purchase, I thought about it a lot because of the cost ratio vs other brands, but the truth is that the product has great quality in its materials and functionality…

I have installed it on a Himalayan 411 and it has turned out very well, I hope to have many adventures accompanying the Gnome Tank Bag.

It's a shame that a few days after purchasing, they placed discounts

Regards,
Fernando G.

Great size

Using the Gnome tank bag on an EXC-F 500. I had previous had a Nomini tank bag which while handy was a little small and unfortunately was stolen, along with the bike.
The Gnome fits the 500 well and does not interfere when standing on the bike. I am able to fit sunglasses, snacks, wallet and spare gloves. It is very well made, sturdy and decent materials.
Overall I am very happy with the Gnome and would recommend for carrying the essentials on day trips.

With the Gnome's unique mounting orientation in a landscape position on top of your tank, there is enough space to stand comfortably without restricting movement as you tackle steep mountain passes or miles of Baja whoops. Its 5L storage capacity includes a 1.5L Hydrapak water reservoir within arm’s reach, so you can quench your thirst while riding.

The Gnome is the ideal bag for storing trail bars, your wallet, phone, and 1.5L of water all while having a small footprint on your motorcycle. Keep your more valuable documents in the interior stealth passport pocket, while utilizing an exterior quick stash earplug / knife / everyday-carry pocket for easy access. The included stashable rain cover features a welded-seam top panel and sealed seams on the side to keep all your belongings dry even in a heavy downpour.

Pull into town for lunch? Unclip the easy on/off mounting clips and deploy the internal waist belt for off the bike use. The complete functionality of the Gnome is second-to-none for both on and off the bike usability. After countless hours of field testing, the Gnome has proved itself to be one of the toughest, most versatile tank bags with a hydration system.

The MOLLE attachment panel on the top of the bag is perfect for fastening additional accessories. Clip on your Garmin inReach, Spot, or our MOLLE-mounted cell phone case: The Navigator to dampen the phone killing vibrations while having direct sight of the navigation for the route ahead.

Made out of 630D high density 100% recycled nylon, the Gnome is just as tough as the terrain that you will find yourself riding down. But the internal fleece lined pockets and elastic loops will hold your phone and other necessities securely as the bike shakes, rattles, and rolls.

Our universal mounting harnesses make it easy to swap between bags and interchangeable between bikes. Have a larger Nomax or Hood bag? Now you have the option to go big or go Gnome.
