A tankbag you can leave on to refill with fuel.

I'll admit I was in two minds before ordering one - as the GNOME is not made in the same heavy duty fabric as the NOMAX. But I'd tried a NOMAX on my tank and it felt ungainly. The unusual (as in not traditional) mounting orientation however may well be part of the reason to use a more flexible material, and on the Bike - it works. A tank bag that you can fit and leave on to refill. The double layer foam padding was a surprise and helps the bag mold to the tank too. I've not used it in heavy rain - but yup! - a waterproof cover would be a plus - imo more important than a hydration bladder. The change from metal to plastic rear strap buckles - OK I see why, but I'm not entirely sure I agree with the idea. Time will tell as this will be my day to day carry-all. But overall well pleased.

Tank bag for the 690

I believe that I was one of the first to buy this new bag from MM. It arrived without the tank harness but not to be denied my first ride with the bag I used the harness from my Pico Bag. The bag appeared to be made for the 690, the fit is perfect. When standing on the pegs it does not interfere with my important bits. Inserting a full water bladder is nigh impossible and settling for 2/3 full is the order of the day. The upper pocket is large enough to hold my head light, Leatherman with its toolset, Go Pro accessories, my wipes and a snack. There is a stash area for papers and money. Incidentally, the missing harness arrived 5 days later. So, all in all, this was a very good purchase. A plea to MM, please extract your digit and develop a waterproof cover as the bag looses its appeal when covered with a shower cap 😉

great for smaller bikes like 300Rally

Arrived yesterday here in NZ, super fast delivery a week! Great build quality just like my Nomad and backcountry panniers, only suggestion I have is that it could do with a waterproof cover like what came with the Nomad. I will be using the Gnome in all sorts of weather so hopefully MM you can get something made for later purchase, please. Fits the bike perfectly. Thanks for your awesome products.

Gnome tank bag

Excellent product. Two minor drawbacks. First installing. Front attachment strap is pain in the *ss to get through the buckle and back. Really tight fit.
Secondly if you fill up water bladder completely there is no room left for dslr camera in the storage pocket. Otherwise superb product with excellent quality.

Gnome Tank Bag

Color
Black - Preorder
Woodland
Stargazer

Woodland and Stargazer colors are in stock. Black is out of stock, but available to Preorder. If you’d like to reserve a Gnome in Black, with expected delivery before the end of 2022, please select Black Preorder color to purchase.

With the Gnome's unique mounting orientation in a landscape position on top of your tank, there is enough space to stand comfortably without restricting movement as you tackle steep mountain passes or miles of Baja whoops. Its 5L of storage capacity includes a 1.5L Hydrapak water reservoir within arm’s reach, so you can quench your thirst while riding.

The Gnome is the ideal bag for storing trail bars, your wallet, phone, and 1.5L of water all while having a small footprint on your motorcycle. Keep your more valuable documents in the interior stealth passport pocket, while utilizing an exterior quick stash earplug / knife / everyday-carry pocket for easy access.

Pull into town for lunch? Unclip the easy on/off mounting clips and deploy the internal waist belt for off the bike use. The complete functionality of the Gnome is second-to-none for both on and off the bike usability. After countless hours of field testing, the Gnome has proved itself to be one of the toughest, most versatile tank bags with a hydration system.

The MOLLE attachment panel on the top of the bag is perfect for fastening additional accessories. Clip on your Garmin inReach, Spot, or our MOLLE-mounted cell phone case: The Navigator to dampen the phone killing vibrations while having direct sight of the navigation for the route ahead.

Made out of 630D high density 100% recycled nylon, the Gnome is just as tough as the terrain that you will find yourself riding down. But the internal fleece lined pockets and elastic loops will hold your phone and other necessities securely as the bike shakes, rattles, and rolls.

Our universal mounting harnesses make it easy to swap between bags and interchangeable between bikes. Have a larger Nomax or Hood bag? Now you have the option to go big or go Gnome.
