The Woodsman is a technical softshell enduro pant that's just as at home on tight singletrack as it is in the open desert or extended ADV trips.
The Woodsman is a technical softshell pant for enduro riding. It’s just as at home on tight Northwest woods singletrack as it is in the open desert or on extended ADV trips. The hybrid design puts a Schoeller waterproof/breathable material on the knees and seat for protection from wet brush, wet seats, and water crossings, while the DWR coated nylon oxford upper provides excellent breathability.
(Note: 1. The current Woodsman Pant fits true-to-size. Our previous delivery ran small. 2. The Obsidian and Onyx colors are our black / charcoal color options, but from different seasons. The new Onyx charcoal panels are slightly darker than last seasons Obsidian.)
The Woodsman takes design inspiration from ski touring and alpine gear. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s ‘stretchy.’ Not just in a few small panels but everywhere. To complement the stretchiness, we articulated the patterns for athletic riding and for alternating between a seated and standing riding position. They are comfortable enough that minimalists can use them as their only pair of pants on a multi-day trip. They work on and off the bike, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants.
There are four vents on the thighs, two cargo pockets for your wallet, phone, trail map, or clip knife, and two hand pockets that are ‘handy’ when you’re off the bike. The pockets all zip closed, so you won’t lose your valuables if you bounce off the trail. The Woodsman is cut to fit inside your boot for durability and grip and has ample stretchiness for maximum mobility. Depending on your perspective, the Woodsman is a ‘touring pant you can trail-ride in' or a ‘trail-riding pant you can tour in.’
They work on the bike and off, around the fire, and out for a beer. Dust and dirt are the only things that will give them away as riding pants. The Woodsman’s in-boot design allows you to grip the bike directly with your boot – without pinching fabric in the middle – which is how the bike-makers and boot-makers intended it. That’s why you rarely see off-road racers in over-the-boot pants. Unlike most in-boot pants, the Woodsman has a full-length inseam, so you won’t get that ‘moto-capri’ look when your boots come off.
With the Woodsman, we’re breaking free from the convention that you need to wear waterproof ADV gear all the time. In most sports, the rain gear comes off when the rain stops. With ADV, many riders wear waterproof gear in every type of weather, regardless of whether it’s raining or not. Even in the desert with no chance of rain, we see ADVers in head-to-toe waterproof clothes, trying to manage their heat problems in all sorts of creative ways. With the Woodsman, you can take off your rain gear and continue your trip in stretchy, breathable, comfortable pants when the rain stops.
The Woodsman takes a hybrid approach to water management. The thighs and butt are fully waterproof with a 3-Layer Schoeller softshell, while the crotch and calves are membrane-free for maximum breathability. All the seams are taped, and the entire pant is treated with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) coating, so light water beads up at the surface. There’s just enough water repellency for stream crossings, muddy puddles, dewy brush, and light rain without causing heat problems for the rest of the ride. We call the Woodsman a ‘90% pant,’ because 90% of the time it’s exactly what you need.

Hi, very good quality but to long. I’am very desapointed that there is never stock in mosko moto. I think you loose a lot of clients because you have never stock. I would like to buy a lot of things but unfortunatly it’s impossible. I will be obliged to buy in an another house.
I love these pants. I waited a few years to buy them because I have other pants I really like including some Basilisk pants.
Now that I have these, I wish I’d have gotten them a long time ago. I did 200 miles of 50/50 riding the first day!
Heads up, I’m a solid 32 in almost everything I wear. These fit in a 32, but 0 room for anything. Got the 34 and they’re perfect. ‘24 model Woodsman ITB.
Because I will where Leatt protection underwear for increased fitment adjustment & confort, I added to extra two extra clasp botton, see image. Could be a good improvement. Beyond my comment, excelent product !!!
Ordering these pants I was already familiar with Mosko Moto product’s quality so I knew I could trust the brand. My concern was that they are made to fit male’s body so it would not fit mine (I am curvy). To my surprise it fits perfectly and I look slim in it.. Pants feel light, they are stretchable, durable and vents provide very good ventilation. So far tested for 2 months riding in temperatures -4C to +38C in remote areas off India & Nepal. Love them - period.
These pants are fantastic. Rugged, water resistant and uber comfortable. I could see them being super warm on a really hot day, but even then the venting is really good. Love the pockets. In general these pants are just really well thought out. Especially love that I can run a belt in them. My only criticism is the legs themselves are just a little too baggy. And this coming from someone who wears knee braces and impact shorts. Kinda wish they fit a little tighter, closer to an mx pant. But all in all these are awesome. Only time will tell if they prove their worth vis a vis the gazillion dollar price tag.
