Come camp and ride with the Mosko Moto crew! A multi-day moto gathering in the "Heart of the Romanian wilderness", near Păltiniş.
NEW FOR 2026
- Multiple ticket options are available including 3, 4, or 5-day tickets, with a limited amount of camper van tickets, providing options to tailor the event to your schedule and holiday plans.
- Our GPX files will include fresh tracks and new ride destinations to explore.
- We'll provide riders the option to pre-order tires, available delivered to the event site, so you can start the Dusty Lizard mounting some fresh rubber.
- Wild Ride Tours will be on site, providing one or two day riding and training courses, led by Ioan Tara, Romanian enduro legend and certified BMW instructor.
EVENT DETAILS
CAMP VENUE
Our camp will be based near Păltiniș in the south of Sibiu. Situated on a beautiful ski slope right at the base of the Southern Carpathians, the venue will be our basecamp to explore the surrounding networks of trails. The route into the venue is an asphalt road with a short bit of dirt at the end, providing easy access for campervans. Cars and trailers can be parked in the lot at the bottom of the resort. Please note that this parking area is unsecured, so ensure your trailer can be properly locked.
RIDING
Prior to the event start, we'll provide GPX files for ADV and dual-sport bikes, from easy to more challenging trails, with all routes being rated for their difficulty level. We encourage attendees to create small groups and ride with like-minded new friends to explore the huge selection of trails in the Southern Carpathians. Riding is only permitted on the routes that we provide. Most of them are only accessible via legal public roads, so your vehicle must be registered and insured.
MUSIC
Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
FLY-TO-RIDE
If you'd like to attend this event but are unable to travel with a bike, consider flying into a local airport and renting a bike from a Romanian vendor such as Wild Ride, Sherco Romania, and Moto Land.

MOTO TRAINING
If you want some off-road skills training, consider joining a one or two-day riding and training session with Wild Ride Tours, led by Ioan Tara, a BMW-certified instructor and Romanian enduro legend. Build skills on-site, then apply them to a local trail. Get in touch to book your session with them directly.

FOOD & DRINKS
Breakfast and coffee will be provided prior to rides in the morning, soup and bread in the afternoon, plus dinner at camp when the ride day wraps up. Fizzy non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be available in the Dusty Lizard Lounge all day, served from the food truck. See the schedule below for full details.
SHOP GEAR
We'll have the latest Mosko gear at the event all weekend for you to check out and try on. Attendees can take advantage of a 15% off discount for anything purchased during the weekend. While we don’t sell gear directly onsite, our crew will be there to help place orders that ship straight to you after the event.
TIRE SERVICE
The option to order a set of tires through us, ensuring you can mount fresh rubber on site at the start of the weekend. We'll have crew members on site to assist with tire mounting. We'll email more information around this service to ticket holders prior to the event.
TICKETS
*Avoid Mixed Carts: If you plan to purchase event tickets and products, please place two separate orders so your products ship as normal.
One ticket per person, please. The ticket price covers the cost of meals, beverages, music, and basic event essentials like on-site porta-potties, fire pits, and space rental.
DUSTY LIZARD MERCH
Dusty Lizard hats, t-shirts, and hoodies will be available for pre-order soon, shipped to purchasers before the event. We'll email more information regarding merch pre-orders to ticket holders prior to the event.
TICKET OPTIONS
RIDE-IN CAMP PASS: 3, 4, OR 5 DAY PASS
On-site camping for those riding in on a motorcycle and tent camping. Campsites include space for tent camping next to your bike. We encourage riders to arrive by bike.
CAR & TRAILER PASS: 3, 4, OR 5 DAY PASS
There will be a designated area for you to park your car and trailer at the base of the camping area; no cars or trailers are allowed in the campsite. The campsites have space for tent camping right next to your bike. Please note that the parking lot is not monitored, so be sure you can secure your trailer to your car.
CAMPERVAN PASS: 3, 4, OR 5 DAY PASS
On-site camping for those driving to the event in their campervan with their bike. Please note that there will be no shore power available for campervans. Contact the Team to discuss recharging campervan batteries during the weekend if you're unable to stay off-grid for the duration of the event.

IMPORTANT NOTES
*Camping is self-sufficient wild camping on-site. Basic toilets and showers are provided, along with a charging station.
*Coffee, water, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, wine, palinca, and visinata (homemade cognac) will be provided.
*Please bring your own cup/bottle to the coffee or water stations to reduce waste buildup.
*Gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan options are very limited and subject to local availability. During breakfast and dinner, a few vegetable-based options will be offered.
*Lunch is not included as riders will be out riding, but soup and bread will be available every day at 3 pm.
*Please be prepared for any weather conditions, including warm and dry, and cold and wet. We'll have camp fires each night.
F.A.Q.
Can I get GPX tracks before the event?
GPX tracks will be emailed to all ticket holders a couple of weeks before the event. Please load them onto your device ahead of your trip.
Can I come camp/ride without paying for food/drink?
Tickets are available as described, including food and drinks. We're sorry, but we cannot offer modifications at this time.
Are all styles of motorcycles welcome?
Yes, motorcycles of all sizes and styles are welcome; but plated, registered bikes are mandatory for accessing trails.
Can I come with my campervan?
A limited number of campervan spots will be available.
If I purchase a car & trailer pass, can I camp next to my vehicle?
No, parking for cars and trailers will be provided, but you will camp next to your bike with the other moto-campers.
Are there guided rides?
No, all rides are self-guided. We encourage attendees to group up and ride with like-minded new friends. There are lots of excellent riding options in the area to choose from. Mosko will provide some suggested routes with GPX files to consider for ADV and dual-sport bikes.
How challenging are the suggested riding routes?
We will have various options, from mellow ADV and dual-sport rides to more challenging tracks. We encourage you to research the area and any available local maps online before arriving to get a lay of the land. We'll classify each route according to its difficulty.
Will you have bathrooms?
Basic showers and toilet units will be available on site.
Do you need help setting up/breaking down?
We currently have enough volunteers, thank you!
Do you have medical service on-site?
We will have limited medical support on-site. Please dial 112 if you experience a medical emergency. The nearest hospital is Spitalul Clinic Judetean de Urgenta Sibiu and is 31km away from the campsite.

Attending the Dusty Lizard in Romania was a dream. I met friends from Europe new and old while creating lasting memories. The event was flawless and ran super crisply. I attended all 5 days. Lived in a bubble for few days, just riding my bike with likeminded people and having fun at night.
Have only two complains:
- I choose the three days pack, next time I'll take the full five days package!
- Going to the bathroom wasn't pleasant at all. I don't pretend a 5 stars toilet in the middle of nowhere, but I wouldn’t like to see (and smell) all the history of people before me, every time I open the toilet lid 😅
Having said that, all the Mosko team did a fantastic job at building the camp, it was a joy to stay there, it was like been with the family.

Robert Ooms Fun event, but beginners beware
This is a fun event, but if you are a beginner in offloading the routes can be challenging especially if you depend on your bike to get you back home.
However, the routes are awesome and the camplife after the rides (acres-ride?) is fun and nice to meet like minded people!
Perhaps in a next event there can be more of the guided tours, that was really useful!
